Born in Glasgow, raised in Glasgow, studied in Glasgow (at Strathclyde though!)…. Now living in Kendal. Which is nice, at least for the next few weeks. Then I leave for Patagonia!

It seems like a great place to go, particularly if you like walking, love climbing, and can’t quite prize the camera out your hand long enough to write a proper bio on your website….

    Hi Douglas,

I obtained your Blog address from your Dad, and I must say I am enjoying monitoring your progress both from your satelite positions and from the photographs that you have sent home.

You are in a truly remarkable place. I will continue to follow your progress and be amazed by the scenery.

However, the purpose of this reply is to wish you a Happy Christmas and a Good and successful New Year.

    Cheers

    Jim McHarg

Why?

So here's the thing - you go on holiday around the world for 5 months, just you and your camera. There's bound to be some interesting photos and stories along the way.... How'd you share them with the folks back home without spending your entire holiday and budget online? I guess a blog's the answer....

Where am I?
